Erlend Ropstad - finally coming to Notodden Blues Festival 2022
Erlend Ropstad has become a Norwegian favorite artist both on radio, concerts and on streaming services. At the time of writing, he has just performed a manifestation of a concert for a sold-out Rockefeller in Oslo.
Erlend Ropstad has laid stone upon stone in his 17-year long music career and is described as a steadfast and colossal artist in Norwegian rock. He has slowly but surely left support jobs at small clubs here at home in Norway and in Europe, and through hundreds of concerts played his way to the Øya Festival's main stage and sold-out concerts at the capital's main hall, Rockefeller.
In April 2021, he released his latest album Da Himmelen Brant Var Alle Hunder Stille. The album received a 6 out of 6-star review in Dagsavisen, Dagbladet, NRK Sørlandet, as well as otherwise exclusively very good reviews, high streaming numbers and hefty radio play. His reflective and confident personality, in combination with uncompromising songwriting in the high and heavy part of rock, means that he is described by more and more as Norwegian rock's foremost exponent of the genre.
