Norsk Bluesunion (NBU) and Notodden Blues Festival
collaborate
on
the
band
competition
Union Blues Cup (UBC) for
young
unestablished
bands. The first time UBC
was
organized
was
already
in 1999. NBU has
received
an
international
award
for
its
work
for
young
bands. UBC is an
audience
winner
,
and
the
winning
band
becomes
this
year's
Union Bluesband and
will
be
rewarded
with
a
concert
performance
in Notodden
the
following
year
,
and
with
a
tour
to
many
of
the
country's
blues
clubs
and festivals.
