Roy Rodgers, Amund Maarud & Knut Hem

Get ready for a concert experience of the very rare kind when the American slide guitar phenomenon Roy Rogers meets the Norwegian musicians Amund Maarud and Knut Hem. Roy Rogers was recently in Norway to record music with Maarud and Hem. At the same time, they played a few intimate club gigs to test the collaboration on the audience. Rumors spread immediately about some extremely successful concerts.

Roy Rogers is known to the Norwegian concert goers after several previous Norwegian tours with Roy Rogers & the Delta Rhythm Kings, an appearance at the Notodden Blues Festival in 1996 and through concerts and a record collaboration, "Crossing", with Norwegian blues ace Reidar Larsen.

Roy Rogers has released scores of critically acclaimed records with his band The Delta Rhythm Kings, in duo format with harmonica player Norton Buffalo and, more recently, with keyboardist Ray Manzarek of the legendary band The Doors.

Roy Rogers was for many years a regular member of John Lee Hooker & the Coast To Coast Blues Band, and he was the producer on the records that made John Lee Hooker a superstar and Grammy winner with the albums "The Healer", "Mr. Lucky', 'Boom Boom' and 'Chill Out'.
