"Det går fint" (“It’s going to be ok”)” was sung by Jo Nesbø on Di Derre's latest studio album "Høyenhall" in 2018. It can certainly be a good consolation and a nice backing song in this challenging time. It has been a special summer with the cancellation of an entire festival season and we can definitely need elements of Di Derre's all-singing songs. In the dream of a pleasant festival summer 2021, we can this time with advantage set aside some of the genre principles in Notodden and open up the events for everyone to enjoy. Next summer, let us, more than ever, listen to each other's favorites and create magic in openness and unity.
Di Derre has been one of Norway's most popular bands for so many years that they can be called an institution in Norwegian music. With Jo Nesbø as the front man and Unni Wilhelmsen now clearly and well established in the band, Di Derre is more popular than ever. The band has countless well-known hits and can be one of the concerts that gather the whole of Notodden early on the festival Saturday.
In the summer of 2019, the band played three sold-out concerts together with KORK (The Norwegian Broadcast Orchestra) at Frognerseteren Amfi in Oslo, a successful performance that was recorded and broadcast on NRK1 in prime time, and the album Di Derre and KORK - Live in Marka was released in November. The following Christmas concerts at Sentrum Scene were quickly sold out.
There is a good mood when Di Derre goes on stage and gives us songs like "Rumba Med Gunn", "Jenter", "Børs Cafe", "Faren Til Ivar" and "Det Går Fint" in the early evening on Saturday August 7th.
Di Derre today consists of Jo Nesbø (vocals, guitar), Unni Wilhelmsen (guitar, vocals), Magnus Larsen jr. (bass), Espen Stenhammer (drums), Halvor Holter (keyboards), and Lars Jones (guitar).
