Exclusive concert with the australian rock band Wolfmother!

The Grammy-winning Australian rock band Wolfmother is making a rare visit to Norway for an exclusive concert at the Notodden Blues Festival on Friday 4. august. Wolfmother, who won the Grammy for “Best Hard Rock Performance” in 2007 with their hit song “Woman”, has its roots in the 60s and 70s gold standard and can remind a lot of bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Cream. With vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Andrew Stockdale at the front, Wolfmother has distinguished itself as one of the world’s tightest and toughest live bands. The band has effectively taken the blues-based heavy rock a step further and into its own universe. This is how Wolfmother fits right in among former Notodden favorites such as Rival Sons and Black Country Communion. Through popular album releases, sold-out tours and show-stopping performances at festivals such as Coachella, Isle of Wight and Lollapalooza, Wolfmother has built up a global fan base. They have been invited to tour with bands such as AC/DC, Guns ‘n’ Roses and to be Led Zeppelin’s personally invited guest band when the British rock icons were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame. With fat 70s riffs, up-tempo, swinging, rock’n’roll and mega-songs such as “Joker & The Thief”, “Woman” and “Dimension”, Wolfmother will surely raise the bar when they, as the last band in Hovigs Hangar, get the honor of ending the rock Friday at Notodden.
