EDEN BRENT

Eden Brent is a powerhouse of an artist from Greenville, Mississippi. This will be her first return to Notodden since 2012. Eden Brent is a legendary performer and southern artist who spent the first two decades of her career under the tutelage of piano master Abie “Boogaloo” Ames. The industry became aware of Eden Brent’s talent when she won The International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2006. It was her leap onto the international stage. Eden Brent is once again nominated for the Blues Music Awards in 2026 in the category Traditional Blues Female Artist (Koko Taylor Award) for last year’s album Getaway Blues. Now Eden Brent has announced the release of her eighth studio album, Things Going South, recorded at the legendary Sam Phillips Recording in Memphis. Eden Brent will be making several appearances at Notodden this year, including the Blues Cruise with the MS Telemarken. We are looking forward to Eden Brent coming to add color to this year's Notodden Blues Festival.
