In the fall of 2025, Good Time Charlie released their critically acclaimed album no. 13, “Boomin’”, and the response was immediate. Øyvind Pharo in Bluesnews rolled a 6 and simply stated that “The album is a hit!” Editor Rune Endal followed up after the album release concert in Oslo: “Good Time Charlie swings more than ever. Superb concert! Norway’s by far the best band in its style.”
The new album follows the musical tracks from the debut classic Comin’ Down With The Blues (1995), a milestone in Norwegian blues history, and offers brand new songs that go straight to the heart, performed by the original lineup in great form. The result is a band that both honors its roots and at the same time appears renewed and alive. Music that is right on target for a festive audience at the Notodden Blues Festival.
