Raga Rockers

Raga Rockers are back in the summer of 2026 with full force and familiar songs we all love!

Icon Ivar Eidem has taken over the microphone and Michael Krohn takes the guitar. Raga Rockers are the last of the "big four" in Norwegian rock who have not visited Notodden Blues Festival. They have been on the wish list for a long time. Now they are coming! On Thursday, July 30, they will enter the stage in Hovigs Hangar to shower the audience with classics such as "Hun er fri", "Noen å hate", "Aldri mer", "Fritt liv" and "Når knoklene blir gele". One of Norway's greatest rock bands of all time is looking forward to a fantastic summer next year with rock, beer and top-shelf hits. We can't wait to finally see them at Notodden!
Raga Rockers was founded in 1982 by vocalist Michael Krohn, former drummer of Kjøtt. Starting from the Norwegian punk wave of the early 1980s, the band quickly made a name for themselves in the underground. Raga Rockers' socially critical lyrics in Norwegian about everyday situations, urban alienation and conflict ensured a solid position in Norwegian rock in the 1980s.
The band is considered one of the "big four" in Norwegian rock and has a long career as one of the most significant bands within the genre in Norwegian music history. Albums such as Maskiner i Nirvana and Forbidde følelser are both considered to be some of the best albums written in Norwegian.
Raga Rockers was inducted into Rockheim's Hall of Fame in 2017, a status that emphasizes their position in Norwegian music history.
