Royal Jam

Get ready for a meeting with iconic rock classics!

After the three historic closing concerts with Åge & Sambandet in front of 75,000 at Lerkendal, four of the musicians from Sambandet continue with their own project Royal Jam. The same four also stood on stage with Åge Aleksandersen during the sold-out concert at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London on June 17, 2016.

Royal Jam had their first concert on June 23, 1991 during the signing weekend for King Harald and Queen Sonja in Trondheim. Hence the resonant name Royal Jam. This is a band they have been active with outside of the Sambandet seasons and the response has been enormous.

This fall's exclusive "club concerts" have been sold out, and in the summer of 2026 they will seriously take the step to the festival stages with a bigger and more powerful show. Notodden Blues Festival is one of the selected festivals.
Royal Jam delivers iconic rock classics from the 70s and 80s – played with the same routine, energy and precision that has made them sought-after musicians in Sambandet, Stage Dolls, TNT and DDE. No other band in Norway has such legendary musicians as Royal Jam.

With Royal Jam you can expect a band that really hits the festival audience with rock classics on a continuous line-up delivered by the absolute elite of Norwegian musicians.

Royal Jam consists of Skjalg M. Raaen on guitars, Steinar Krokstad on drums, Morten Skaget on bass, Terje Tranaas on keyboards and Lasse Ingebrigtsen on vocals.
