The Temperance Movement
Get ready for an energetic first time visitors from Glasgow!
The Temperance Movement has shared the stage with heavyweights such as Blackberry Smoke, The Waterboys and The Rolling Stones themselves – and in 2026 Notodden Blues Festival is finally coming up.
The band was started in 2011 by vocalist Phil Campbell together with guitarists Luke Potashnick and Paul Sayer. With roots deeply planted in British blues rock, they draw inspiration from the golden age of the 60s and 70s – where raw energy, authenticity and melodic punch go hand in hand. The result is a timeless, yet modern sound that captivates both rock and blues audiences.
The Temperance Movement made an early breakthrough as a formidable live band. With three critically acclaimed albums and a reputation for delivering concerts full of nerve, soul and pure joy of playing, they have solidified their position as one of the most exciting bands in the British blues rock wave.
The Temperance Movement currently consists of Phil Campbell (vocals), Luke Potashnick (guitar), Paul Sayer (guitar), Nick Fyffe (bass) and Simon Lea (drums).
