From Bluesbyen Notodden, comes this power pack of a blues, blues rock and soul band. With their approach to great classics as well as their own songs, the band has gradually become a favorite among the audience at some of the country's club and festival stages.
Compagniet is a band full of routine, with extensive experience in several genres. The musicians represent half a century of stage experience, and have participated in many record releases and TV productions. Notodden Blues Band, Telemark Blueslag, Kåre Virud, Rita Engerdalen, Margit Bakkens Bluesorkester, Square One, De Solmodne Menn, are just a few bands where band members in the Compagniet have contributed.
The company covers artists in the rock/funk/soul & blues landscape such as Steely Dan, Delbert McClinton, Solomon Burke, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.
The band's own songs are widely streamed on digital platforms, and have been played on foreign radio stations.
The company consists of Inger Lise Amundsen: vocals, Bjørn Rugaas: piano/organ, Kjetil Weflaat: Saxophone, Jan Sigurd Pettersen: Bass, Arne Fostvedt: drums and Asle Helseth: guitar.
