Håkon Høye
Håkon Høye & the Honeytones have had the honor of being the Norwegian band for Johnny Burgin’s concert Part 2 at this year’s Notodden Blues Festival. This will be a concert in the spirit of Stax and Memphis soul music.
In addition, a dose of recent Chicago soul blues will be experienced at this concert. HåkonHøye & the Honetones are a perfect band in that respect for Johnny Burgin. Håkon Høye & The HoneyTones always serve a tasty gumbo of blues, soul and Americana Håkon Høye (aka The Hawk) has a background from the environment around the club Muddy Waters in Oslo in the 2000s. He has been a permanent member of Billy T Band and Joakim Tinderholt’s band since the beginning and has backed countless artists in Norway and over the past 25 years. The band consists of Håkon Høye: Vocals and guitar, Per Tobro: Bass and vocals and Vetle Larsen: Drums.
