Notodden Bluesband
Notodden Blues Band is one of the truly great pioneers in Norwegian blues music, and they never give up. Few bands have traveled so much and played for so many people in our long country. NBB is really on a creative rapture during the day.
NBB has held the blues fan high for over 40 years, and is still "still going strong". The front figures Trond Ytterbø and Jørn Pedersen still lead NBB with solid experience, superb vocals, well-known guitar riffs and character. Torgeir Hefre and Jørn Øystein Johansen are helping to keep the original sound of NBB alive. The band's only non-original member, drummer Pål Øymo, keeps the NBB train safely on track.
We are proud to have a band like the Notodden Blues Band from our town. They have been part of the very first Notodden Blues Festival in 1988. Together with Kåre Virud, NBB are mainstays in the festival's history, and they are still going strong after all these years. It is a pleasure for us to have this important band in Norwegian blues on the bill also in 2024. NBB belongs to the Notodden Blues Festival.
