Reidar Larsen
Norwegian blues legend Reidar Larsen has just released a new album. At the same time, we can announce that he is ready for the Notodden Blues Festival 2024 both with solo concerts and a concert with a full band and brass band. In other words, Reidar Larsen will be "full package and standing barracks" at Notodden this year.
You can experience Reidar Larsen on the Blues Cruise with MS Telemarken, and this year he will be back with a concert in the wonderful Myrens Dam, where he will play a concert with his regular band "Hjemmelaget", which this time has been reinforced with a full-grown brass band.
We remember from the pandemic festival at Brygga in 2021 how rich and fat Reidar Larsen sounds with a big band. Brygga was a very large arena in 2021 due to pandemic requirements regarding distance and cohorts. Now there will be close contact with the band in intimate Myrens Dam.
Myrens Dam is a historic arena in the NBF context. There have been many unforgettable experiences here. Some will of course remember the legendary concert with Reidar Larsen & The Spirit of Love Singers in "Dammen" in 1998. That concert stands as a landmark in our festival history. This is going to be fantastic. Now Reidar Larsen is coming back to Myrens Dam. In every way, this will be a historic concert with the Norwegian blues king that you will not want to miss.
