Robbert Duijf trio
These Dutchmen walked away with the win in this year's European Blues Challenge in Braga, Portugal. The victory means that they will be seen at the Notodden Blues Festival. Every year NBF has committed to booking the winner of the European Blues Challenge to support this important initiative from the European Blues Union.
In heavy competition with artists from 22 European countries, Robbert Duijf and his trio charmed both the judges and the audience. The entire concert hall rose to a spontaneous standing ovation after the band's performance. That should say a lot about the appeal this trio has, and the atmosphere they managed to create in the hall with their warm humour, relaxed performance and sharp traditional blues.
