The Fabulous Thunderbirds are always "tough enuff", and the band that reminded the world what the blues really is already when the slacks and disco balls ruled the planet.

T-birds stands as a pillar among the best-selling and most popular bands in Notodden Blues Festival's rich history. Now they are coming back with a new album and a new show in the bag. The audience at Notodden loves Kim Wilson and the Thunderbirds from Texas. It's just to be happy.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds immortalized themselves in the context of the Notodden Blues Festival with their legendary performance in the Sliperihallen in 1995. The band played on high octane, the hall was steaming hot, the audience went bananas and the atmosphere boiled over with happiness! Since this evening, Thunderbirds have been one of the festival's biggest audience winners.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds are "refinedly unsophisticated" and professional to the point of the tongue! They play their blues, roots rock, swamp boogie, swing and soul in a style and with songs that most of our audience have a strong relationship with. With their rocking guitar and harmonica-driven Texas blues and hit songs such as Tuff Enuff, The Crawl and Can't Tear It Up Enough, The Fabulous Thunderbirds know how to create a great atmosphere and a great night out on the town. The Fabulous Thunderbirds are always "Tuff Enuff"!

The band currently consists of Kim Wilson: vocals and harmonica, Johnny Moeller: guitar, Bob Welsh: piano/guitar, Rudy Albin: drums and Steve Kirsty: bass.
