Adam Douglas Duo
Adam Douglas was honored with the Notodden Blues Festival Blues Award when he played there in 2022.
“This is absolutely, absolutely brilliant,” said an emotional winner at the time. Now he’s back! Adam brings his big voice, some guitars and a singing drummer, Torjus Nevland. It’s going to be absolutely golden to experience this fantastic duo at the Notodden Festival’s intimate Folk & Blues Stage on Friday, August 1.
Together, the duo will perform selected songs from Adam’s catalog, some brand new songs and some completely unique versions of well-known classics. Two great guys make the world’s smallest biggest band!
It gets close, says Adam: “Usually at a concert you can experience a great distance between the audience and the artist. A clear boundary, almost like an invisible fence. We’re going to try our best to remove that! I’d like to invite the audience in.”
Adam Douglas grew up in Oklahoma, USA, and mixes soul, gospel, jazz and roots in his music. After his solo debut in 2015, Adam has released a number of critically acclaimed albums and really sang his way into the hearts of the Norwegian people during Stjernekamp on NRK in 2017. Since then, he has been considered one of our very best vocalists and communicators, both live and recorded. In 2021, Adam received his first Spellemannpris for the studio album "Better Angels".
There will be a closeness and intimate atmosphere when Adam and his fellow musician invite you to a concert at Notodden Blues Festival 2025!
