Claudia Scott is probably the most significant artist we have in Norway within the genres of roots rock, Americana and country.
She has made a name for herself internationally as a solo artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. This was documented in a research report from 2023 which confirms that Claudia Scott "played an important role in the development of country in Norway". Claudia Scott is Norway's undisputed Americana queen, and her concerts and albums are praised by both audiences and critics. Claudia tours actively as never before, and she garners respect and admiration from audiences of all age groups.
Claudia Scott's new album "The Belle of Singapore" was released in September 2024 to rave reviews from Norwegian critics. Last year she was also nominated for the UK Country Music Awards for best song with "Heard you on my radio". Claudia also received the Gamleng Prize 2024 and was awarded the Norwegian Americana prize Fjording; first for the single "Baby, Don't You Leave Me This Way" which was named "Song of the Year", before she was soon after honored with the prestigious Honorary Award.
Claudia Scott has eight critically acclaimed albums behind her, two Spellemann awards and a number of nominations. She has received three prestigious songwriting awards in the USA, in addition to being a sought-after musician for a number of major artists. In addition to two Spellemann awards, she has received three Sesac Awards in the USA for her songwriting collaboration with Americana original Kevin Welch.
Claudia comes from strong roots in Country, and has developed her own style within the genre. Claudia Scott is a fearless artist who has dared to go her own way in search of her own musical identity. Over the years, Scott has contributed to more than 100 albums nationally and internationally. Claudia Scott has also been featured on TV 2's popular program series "Hver Gang Vi Møtes" where the press constantly referred to her as "Rockens førstdame", and "Norwegian Country Queen".
Claudia Scott will be on stage with her formidable band consisting of Olav Torgeir Kopsland (vocals, guitars, steel guitar), Jørun Bøgeberg (bass) and Tor Hauge (drums and percussion). As always, Claudia Scott can be experienced on various guitars, harmonica and vocals.
