DK Harrell
This is cheering. The success D.K. Harrell is coming back! We simply couldn't resist the temptation to invite this year's big artist talk back to the Notodden Blues Festival in 2025.
D.K. Harrell made his Norwegian debut with a bang at Notodden Blues Festival 2024. Everyone was talking about him, and the organizers are now queuing up to book him. We at the Notodden Blues Festival were sure that our audience would immediately fall in love with D.K. Harrell. It is therefore a pleasure to be able to announce his return in 2025.
We are super-triggered to let "the new B.B. King" play for an enthusiastic Notodden audience in a year where B.B. would be 100 years old. D. K. Harrell is a natural talent with an exceptional stage personality with a natural joy of playing, fantastic guitar skills and a well-developed singing voice. He has also developed a stage persona and a showmanship worthy of a blues king.
With fantastic guitar skills, we don't mean that he excels at playing as much as possible and as much as possible. As B.B. King, he lets every note sing, every note have meaning, every pause tell a story. D. K. Harrell's vocals play, seduce and communicate, while his large band of brass and the whole pack builds up and supports his leader in everything he does.
D. K. Hailing from Ruston, Louisiana, Harrell is one of the new, young African-American artists who see blues music as an important part of their cultural heritage. D. K. Harrell has B.B. King as a role model and it is clear in everything he does and everything he stands for.
When you see D.K. Harrell on stage and the thought quickly goes to that this must be like experiencing B.B. King at a young age. Don't miss D.K. Harrell. You will be as enthusiastic as we are.
