Keb' Mo'

The five-time Grammy-winning blues and Americana artist KEB' MO' comes exclusively to Notodden for two unique solo acoustic concerts, and can be experienced on the festival's Folk & Blues Stage and in the fantastic arena Myrens Dam.

These will be the award-winning American artist's only concerts in Europe.
"It is absolutely fantastic that we have landed this. It's a scoop for us, and another strong manifestation of the musical content at this summer's festival. We have really big things going on for 2025. There are limited places for these concerts. Myrens Dam and Folk & Blues Stage are intimate arenas for unique experiences, so here it pays to be quick to buy a ticket," says artistic director of Notodden Blues Festival, Jostein Forsberg.

With five Grammy Awards, 14 Blues Foundation Blues Music Awards and a groundbreaking career spanning nearly 50 years, KEB' MO' has carved out a unique position in American roots music. KEB' MO''s visit to Notodden gives the Norwegian audience a unique opportunity to meet one of today's greatest Americana, blues and roots artists. This is a musical meeting not to be missed in 2025.
Born and raised in Compton, Keb' began his remarkable journey at the age of 21. In 1994, he introduced himself to the world as KEB' MO' with the release of his self-titled debut record. Critics were quick to notice Keb's modern, cross-genre roots music, and two years later he received his first Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album with Just Like You.

In the decades to come, KEB' MO' took home four more Grammy Awards, topped the Billboard Blues Chart seven times, prestigious performances everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the White House in Washington, collaborations with many including Taj Mahal, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, The Chicks and Lyle Lovett and many others.
Over the past two decades, award-winning singer, songwriter and guitarist Keb' Mo' has established a reputation as a modern master of American roots music through outstanding concert and studio performances.
