Lita Ford

One of the big surprises on the artist list for this year's Notodden Blues Festival has to be female rock pioneer Lita Ford.

Lita Ford is a true legend, and one of rock's most groundbreaking female guitarists.
Lita Ford started her career at the age of 16 in the iconic, all-female band The Runaways in 1975. The band was groundbreaking in every way and opened previously closed doors for women in rock music. Lita's technical prowess and explosive energy quickly made her a central artist on the rock scene.

After The Runaways disbanded, Lita began her solo career with her debut album "Out For Blood" in 1982. However, her big breakthrough came with the album LITA in 1988, which included unforgettable rock classics such as "Kiss Me Deadly" and the star duet "Close My Eyes Forever" with Ozzy Osbourne, which reached number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. Lita Ford is working on a new and long-awaited album that will be released sometime in 2025.

With both iconic rock songs and new music in her bag, Lita Ford is getting ready for the Norwegian audience on August 1st on the Rock Friday of the Notodden Blues Festival. Grab this unique opportunity to experience a powerhouse of a concert with well-known hits and real rock'n'roll with female rock pioneer Lita Ford!
