Little Feat – the genre-blending pioneers of American Rock, today announced their first European date in 12 years, with an exclusive Scandinavian show at Notodden Blues Festival, on Saturday August 2nd, 2025. Blending Blues, Country, Funk, Americana, New Orleans and Jazz with some of the most skilled musicianship in rock history, Little Feat are once again hitting the road. Expect a 2 hour show with all the classics from entire catalogue, and of course, their celebrated live album ‘Waiting for Columbus’ notably considered by Rolling Stone magazine, as one the greatest live albums of all time.

Just last year, Little Feat released the Grammy nominated Blues album ‘Sam’s Place’ which featured Bonnie Raitt on the lead single and duet with long time band member Sam Clayton. Now in 2025 Little Feat have released Strike up the Band, their first new record of original material in over 10 years. Produced by Vance Hall (Phish, Chris Stapleton, Jack White) the album received glowing reviews. Rolling Stone noted, “They really don’t make records like Strike Up the Band anymore,” while The New York Times declared, “Little Feat has every right to celebrate its own longevity.” Clearly, this is the album fans have been waiting for and an undeniable statement from a band entering its 56th year.

The band built a cult following in the late ’60s and ’70s with their distinctive gumbo of New Orleans Rhythm and Blues, Country, Rock, Funk, and Jazz. Celebrated as a key influence by legends like Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones, they shared stages with the biggest names in music, including a memorable stadium tour with The Who. Whilst mainstream commercial success always seemed just out of reach, tracks like “Dixie Chicken,” “Spanish Moon,” “Fat Man in the Bathtub,” and “Rock and Roll Doctor” are now classics in the rock canon.Over the decades, they've released 17 studio albums and 10 live albums.

Through ups and downs, love and loss, lineup changes, and relentless touring, Little Feat has endured, bonded by friendship and a shared musical vision. Their ever-evolving lineup has featured icons like the late, great Lowell George, founding drummer Richie Hayward, and guitarist Paul Barrere. Today, the band continues to thrive with founding member Bill Payne on keys, alongside longtime collaborators Fred Tackett (guitar/vocals), Kenny Gradney (bass), and Sam Clayton (percussion/vocals). The addition of younger talents Scott Sharrard (lead guitar/vocals) and Tony Leone (drums/vocals) has reinvigorated their sound and live performances.
