Marius Lien
Marius Lien is a Spellemannpris winner and a young, up-and-coming artist. He distinguishes himself as an unusually good guitarist, singer and songwriter.
Lien has made a strong impression on the Norwegian blues scene early on and is considered by many, despite his young age, to be part of the elite of Norwegian musicians. In August 2023, he released his debut album, which was very well received. This is a new direction that embraces a broader musical range, and mixes blues with other genres and styles from country and rock to West African music. Marius has collaborated with artists such as Knut Reiersrud, Øystein Greni and Vidar Busk, which resulted in several concerts and collaborations on records. In February 2024, he was seen on the NRK stage in prime time, and his debut album was the winner in blues at Spellemann 2023. In 2025, two new albums from Marius will be released. Marius is a breath of fresh air on Norwegian stages, a virtuoso who gives of himself at every concert and surprises most people with his unique and powerful vocals, unique guitar playing and versatile songs.
