Notodden Bluesband
It would be a shame to plan a Notodden Blues Festival without the Notodden Blues Band.
This time they will do a "Best of Notodden Blues Band" concert with the most famous songs from a long career.
Notodden Blues Band is one of the truly great pioneers of Norwegian blues music, and they never give up. Few bands have traveled so much and played for so many people in our long country. NBB is truly in a creative rapture these days. NBB has kept the blues fan high for over 40 years, and is still "still going strong". Frontmen Trond Ytterbø and Jørn Pedersen still lead NBB with steady experience, superb vocals, well-known guitar riffs and characteristic. Torgeir Hefre and Jørn Øystein Johansen help keep the original sound of NBB alive. The band's only non-original member, drummer Pål Øymo, keeps the NBB train safely on track.
We are proud to have a band like Notodden Blues Band from our city. They have been with us since the first Notodden Blues Festival in 1988. Together with Kåre Virud, NBB are pillars of the festival's history, and they are still going strong after all these years. It is a pleasure for us to have this important band in Norwegian blues on the bill again in 2025. NBB is part of the Notodden Blues Festival.
