The September When
The legends are back.
The September When, have had an adventurous year, where they have celebrated their legendary album Huggermugger, with a triumphant tour, which culminated in two full houses in the DNBArena in their hometown of Stavanger. The September When in great form are ready to take on Notodden on the festival Saturday with exciting rock energy and timeless classics such as "Bullet Me", "Can I Trust You", "Where You Go I Go" and "Cries Just Like A Baby".
The September When with Morten Abel at the forefront was started in Stavanger in 1987 by a trio with a past from the Mods. The level of ambition was tantalizingly high for a Norwegian band at the time, and with songs such as "Bullet Me", "Can I Trust You" and "Where You Go I Go", they conquered audiences far beyond the country's borders.
With album classics such as Huggermugger, One Eye Open and Mother I've Been Kissed, The September When set a new standard for Norwegian rock. Three of their five albums reached #1 on the VG-lista, and the band was named Spellemann of the Year in 1993.
After disbanding in 1996, they first reunited in 2008 at a concert in front of 35,000 people in central Stavanger. The album Judas Kiss followed the same year, followed by a tour that included a stop at Oslo Spektrum. The stage is set for a reunion with legendary frontman Morten Abel and a The September When in great shape when the tour bus rolls into Notodden Blues Festival for the first time on Saturday, August 2nd.
