Uriah Heep

There will be an exclusive Norwegian concert at the Notodden Blues Festival with the iconic rock band Uriah Heep on Friday 1 August.

Uriah Heep recently announced that they will retire after 55 years of concerts and record releases. In February 2025, they embark on their last world tour, which has been titled "The Magician's Farwell".

With this, the classic rock band warns its large audience that this tour will be the last opportunity to experience the band. Uriah Heep will visit many places to say goodbye. The Notodden Blues Festival will be the only opportunity to see them in Norway in 2025. "This is an exclusive and extra nice gift from us to our dear audience.
"It's unbelievably cool that we've got Uriah Heep exclusively in Norway on this part of the tour. There will be many who will want to say goodbye to the legendary band on this tour. Uriah Heep surprised everyone with a show of power at a concert at Notodden in 2023. The audience cheered and the press rolled the dice 6. Now we're going to have them one last time. The band is still in great shape. This will be big for many. A true "must see" concert.

The British rock band had never been to Notodden before, until they performed brilliantly at the Notodden Blues Festival in 2023. They came and won in front of an enthusiastic audience in a packed Hovigs Hangar. The rock riffs came close as hail, the air guitar playing in the audience was loud and the sing-along echoed beyond Notodden during what was a concert for the history books.

Uriah Heep received 6's on the die in the media after the concert. The music magazine Rockman concluded that "Uriah Heep lived up to those degrees. A raw demonstration of power from one of the most legendary hard rock bands of all time."

Uriah Heep is a British rock institution. Ever since they started in 1969, Uriah Heep has been one of the most important and influential bands in English rock. Together with Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep made up "the big four" in England in the early 1970s. Of these, only Uriah Heep and Deep Purple are still touring and making records. Uriah Heep has sold over 40 million albums, and Heep songs such as "Gypsy, "Lady in black", "Look at yourself" and "Easy livin'" are among the greatest classics in British rock history.

Uriah Heep is still in convincing concert form. Now they have decided to give up. There is therefore extra reason to choose to experience these legends one last time. It will be an emotionally strong party night at Notodden on Friday 1 August with Uriah Heep.
