Earl Thomas returns to the Notodden Blues Festival! He was supposed to retire from music, but now makes a thunderous return to the stage in the form of Earl Thomas & the Gospel Ambassadors featuring Sister Leola. He triumphed in his comeback to Europe when he recently turned the legendary club Ronnie Scott's upside down during the London Jazz Festival. His new project, after a three-year hiatus, is through and through vintage gospel mixed with rhythm & blues, soul and rock.
Notodden Blues Festival has a long tradition of presenting strong female blues artists. This time we offer a powerhouse of dimensions with fireworks Annika Chambers, Terrie Odabi and Lady A. This show is a manifestation of the relevance and importance of black American female artists in blues and soul. Well supported by award-winning Canadian guitarist Paul Deslauriers and a fantastic band, Annika Chambers, Terrie Odabi and Lady A give you a concert experience you won't soon forget.
