Sue Foley and Southern Avenue to NBF2025!
Shortly after The Recording Academy announced this year's Grammy nominations, Notodden Blues Festival can announce that the now Grammy-nominated artist Sue Foley is ready for the festival at Notodden on the first weekend of August 2025.
Sue Foley has been nominated for a Grammy Award for the album ONE WOMAN GUITAR in the category "Best Traditional Blues Album". This is an acoustic blues album where Foley interprets female blues icons such as Memphis Minnie, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Elisabeth Cotton, etc.
Hot on the heels of their tour with greats like Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp, Southern Avenue announce that they are coming to the Notodden Blues Festival this summer. This popular Memphis band is really in the air these days. Not only are they on the posters of the biggest festivals, but recently they also released the news that they have signed a contract with the leading record company Alligator Records. A new record has been announced for early 2025.
