Notodden Blues Festival takes place right in the heart of Notodden and the town is full of small and large stages and music. It can be difficult to navigate a large festival program spread throughout an entire town, but we will try to answer all your questions here on this page. Frequently asked quistions

When does the festival start?

The festival opens with a grand opening ceremony on Thursday, August 1st at 6:00 PM, doors open at 5:45 PM to Hangaren, but the Festival Square is open as early as 4:00 PM. 

On Friday and Saturday, the square opens as early as 12:00 PM.

Do you have earplugs?

Yes. At the entrance to Hovigs Hangar and in all bars you can get free earplugs provided by the Norwegian Association of the Hearing Impaired, Telemark and Notodden.

My son is under 18. Can he come?

Yes, he can. He just needs to be accompanied by a sober guardian over the age of 25. Both must have regular passports/tickets, and when you arrive in Notodden and are going to exchange your ties, you must sign a guardianship agreement with us.

Will there be anything in Storgata this year?

Yes, there will be stalls in Storgata this year too. Here you will find a large selection of both food and sales stalls with exciting content.

How do I get to Notodden?

Can I camp in Notodden during the festival?

Yes, you can. You can book a spot or find more information here: Camping og overnatting

Can I bring an umbrella?

No, unfortunately can't. It's better to bring raincoats as you'll have to leave the umbrella outside of the area. 

Can I bring my dog?

No, you can't. Only service dogs are allowed to enter our areas.
