CC Cowboys

SaturdayAugust 3kl. 00:15Hovigs Hangar

It is now clear that CC Cowboys will take on Notodden on Saturday night. It will be a fantastic end to a terrific blues Saturday in Hovigs Hangar.

It was a fantastic end to a sold-out Saturday with Hellbillies in Hovigs Hangar last year. "We have thought a lot about who can take on this task of creating a folk festival and sing-along atmosphere into the Saturday night this year. The choice fell on the CC Cowboys. They have a lot of songs that people know. It quickly becomes a party atmosphere with songs such as Vill, Vakker & Våt, Tigergut, Harry and Kom Deg Løs. I know this will be good," says Jostein Forsberg, artistic director of the Notodden Blues Festival.

For over 30 years, CC Cowboys have been guarantors of Norwegian rock of the highest quality. They have achieved numerous accolades, been awarded gold and platinum trophies, played thousands of gigs and have an impressive string of hit songs to their credit.

In the summer of 2018, the band's eleventh studio album "PERFEKT NORMAL" came out. An album where they go back to their roots and cultivate the direct and dynamic expression we know from their concerts. They have recorded this material more or less live in the studio, and you can hear the energy and nerve in both the performance and the way the recordings were made. CC Cowboys have on this record been inspired by the spontaneity and rawness of the classic rock recordings of the 60s/70s, but have done so with a modern approach.

Several of the songs were released as singles, and were well exposed on Norwegian radio stations. The song "Jeg vil vite alt" is a song with a universal theme, which everyone can relate to, and it's Grønneberg at his very best: - Tell me about the place you come from, about the streets and your friends and your mother and your father, about youth and rebellion and first love, was it at first sight or someone you knew before, I want to know everything.
