The Fabulous Thunderbirds to NBF2024!
We open the Easter egg and happily treat our audience to lots of goodies in time for Easter. An already impressive program for this year's festival continues to grow.
Today we release the audience favorites The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Blood Brothers featuring Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia and the Norwegian pop heroes in Dance With A Stranger. Notodden Blues Festival also fills up with Spellemann-nominated Damer i Blues and the always popular Norwegian Soul Band in today's announcement.

There will be two great nights with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Dance With A Stranger and last year's big success, Vanessa Collier, on Thursday and Deep Purple, TNT, Blood Brothers featuring Mike Zito & Albert Castiglia and American Ladies in the House featuring Annika Chambers, Terrie Odabi & Lady A on Friday. This is gold!", says artistic director Jostein Forsberg in the Notodden Blues Festival.
The Fabulous Thunderbirds are one of the most popular bands in the festival's history. The band embarks on a world tour with a new album and brand new show. T-birds' first new studio album since 2016 hits the market in June, in time for their show at the Notodden Blues Festival on Thursday 1 August. Blood Brothers is nominated for this year's Blues Music Awards in Memphis in the category for best Blues/Rock album, Vanessa Collier is nominated for the Blues Music Awards as "Entertainer of the Year", while the veterans of Dance With A Stranger can celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2024 and are currently current with new music.
"It is likely to be another fantastic edition of "Europe's Best Blues Experience" at Notodden on the first weekend in August," says Jostein Forsberg.
